In 2025, the payments will be scheduled monthly, rather than quarterly, which will greatly enhance our cash flow. Instructions have been emailed on how to sign up for e-payments, if you wish. If you now pay by check and want to continue, you will receive a monthly coupon book. If you are currently enrolled in quarterly auto-payments, the transition to monthly payments will be handled for you.
PLEASE KNOW THAT WE WILL EXERCISE GRACE AS WE MAKE THIS TRANSITION.
DATES DUE:
January 1, then on the first of each month following.

AS OF MONDAY, MARCH 31, OUR PICK UP SERVICE WILL CHANGE TO CASELLA WASTE SYSTEMS
Please note this new information: (A longer email was sent on Friday, Feb 21 to each household.)
· Please place trash AND recycle items out on Sunday nights each week, starting on March 30 for a Monday, March 31 pick up. (We will find out how to deal with Monday holidays.)
· You are welcome to continue to use your own trash bin but can request a new, free, Casella trash bin if you choose, by returning the form emailed to you, no later than March 14, so that it can be ordered in time for the first pick up.
· Weidle Sanitation will NOT be picking up and removing any Weidle trash bins. If you have one, you probably purchased it. If want to have your old trash or recycle bin removed, fill it with trash and mark it with a large note stating REMOVE BIN AND TRASH.
· Recycling bins are still available free of charge from the Township. You may use the bin you currently have. Casella will not provide recycling bins. You can contact the Township office at 717-273-7132.
· Casella allows for more, different items in the same recycle bin: paper, cardboard, cans, glass, plastics. Click the link to see the full list.

· Casella will pick up 1 bulk item, per week, per residence if it fits in the truck, is not too heavy for the crew to lift it into the truck and will not do damage to the truck. (Examples are offered in the email sent on Friday.)
· Casella will not take hazardous materials such as refrigerators, air conditioners, TVs, paint, or any other item that has hazardous materials or electronics.
Please stay off the ice on the Briar Lake and on the ponds. This is spring fed water and never freezes real hard. People and pets should be advised to keep off, as it is very dangerous.
